John Daly Merck
A pharmaceutical industry executive with more than two decades of experience, John Daly has worked as director of commercial operations or sales for multiple Merck and Schering-Plough sales forces spread across the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast including the New York metro area and New England. For his efforts, John Daly has achieved several top-performer recognitions, including status as the number-one National Sales Results leader.

He holds a B.S. in consumer affairs and marketing from the University of Rhode Island. In addition to maintaining a 3.3 GPA during his undergraduate years, he earned distinction as a top-three national AT&T campus sales representative. John Daly’s early career experience includes a position with Eisai, Inc., as medical sales specialist. With a focus on teaching institutions and community hospitals, he built the firm’s initial Manhattan territory.

Before his work with Merck, Mr. Daly joined Bayer Pharmaceuticals as a divisional manager. Winning the 2002 President’s Club Award, he quickly distinguished himself from his colleagues and went on to serve as a senior operations head, a role in which he helped coordinate an integration with former pharmaceutical manufacturer Schering-Plough. Following Schering-Plough’s acquisition by Merck in the late 2000s, the executive joined the latter as a regional operations director.
